Pour Over Recipe Library

Pick a named reference schedule, set your dose and ratio, and scale its pour fractions. Grind, temperature and timing are starting examples rather than universal targets.

How It Works

Every schedule stores pour amounts as fractions of total water. When you change dose or ratio, each fraction is multiplied by the new total; this preserves the schedule’s input proportions.

Scaling amounts does not prove that timing, grind, temperature or sensory result will transfer to another coffee, brewer or batch size. Treat each schedule as a starting example, record the drawdown and taste, then make controlled changes.

Step-by-Step Usage Guide

  1. Rinse the paper filter with hot water and preheat the brewer and carafe, then discard the rinse water.
  2. Grind fresh, level the bed and place the assembly on a scale set to zero.
  3. Follow the schedule row by row, starting the timer at the first drop of bloom water.
  4. Pour in slow concentric circles, keeping water off the paper wall so the bed stays even.
  5. Aim for a flat bed at the end of drawdown; a crater or high walls means the pour needs adjusting.

Frequently Asked Questions

There is no universal drawdown time. Use a chosen schedule as a reference and compare the observed time with your own tasting notes.
It is a common recipe step, but its time and water amount are recipe choices rather than a guarantee of an even extraction.
Different drippers can behave differently. Start with the schedule, then adapt it for the specific brewer and coffee through a documented test.
Agitation is a recipe choice. Test a small, controlled change rather than assuming a single technique is better.

Applicable Scenarios

Built for daily pour-over drinkers who want a repeatable schedule rather than improvisation, and for anyone who has just bought a new dripper and needs a credible starting recipe. It is equally useful when scaling a favourite single-cup recipe up for two or three people without losing the balance you like.
