Choose a top-level flavour category, then a descriptor inside it, to read what the term actually means in a cup and which coffees typically show it. The vocabulary follows the structure used in specialty cupping.

A flavour wheel is a shared vocabulary that moves from broad families such as fruity or roasted toward more specific associations such as blueberry or tobacco. It helps a taster record what they perceive more consistently, but it does not make different tasters’ results automatically comparable or objective.
This tool uses a two-level tree: choose a family, then consider a more specific descriptor. The descriptions are sensory associations, not claims about a coffee’s origin, variety, processing method, chemistry or quality grade.
Useful for anyone starting formal tasting: home cuppers building vocabulary, subscription drinkers trying to decode roaster tasting notes, and study groups preparing for sensory exams. It also works as a quick reference during a cupping session when a word is on the tip of your tongue.
