Brewing calculation
Coffee Dilution Calculator
Choose the concentrate volume already in hand and the final serving volume you want. The result is the amount of liquid to add.
Dilution inputs
What it calculates
Added liquid equals chosen final volume minus concentrate volume. It also reports the resulting concentrate share as a percentage of total volume.
Limit
Volume arithmetic cannot determine taste, strength, caffeine or safety. Choose water, milk or another liquid and evaluate the drink yourself.
How to use it
- Measure the concentrate or brewed coffee you currently have.
- Enter the final volume you want to serve.
- Use the difference shown as the amount of diluting liquid to add.
- Taste the drink and note the liquid and temperature you used, because the calculation does not choose them for you.
When this helps
Use this for simple batch and serving-volume planning when you already know the concentrate amount. It is appropriate for transparent volume arithmetic, not for predicting TDS, flavour, caffeine content or whether a drink will meet any health requirement.
Frequently asked questions
Diluting liquid equals the final target volume minus the concentrate volume you enter.
The tool cannot remove liquid. Choose a target equal to or larger than the concentrate, or prepare a smaller starting amount.
No. You need a measured or otherwise defined strength of the concentrate before calculating a strength after dilution.
The arithmetic only gives a volume difference. The appropriate liquid is your recipe decision and will change taste, texture and nutrition.
