Coffee Units Converter
Convert selected grams to ounces, millilitres to US fluid ounces, and Celsius to Fahrenheit in one place.
Values to convert
Definitions used
One avoirdupois ounce is 28.349523125 grams. One US fluid ounce is 29.5735295625 millilitres. Fahrenheit is Celsius × 9 ÷ 5 + 32.
Limit
Millilitres describe volume and grams describe mass. They are not automatically equal for every liquid, so this tool does not assume density.
How to use it
- Choose the measurement category that matches the figure you have.
- Enter the amount and select the source and destination units.
- Use the displayed conversion in the same category when writing or following a recipe.
- Keep mass and volume separate unless you have an appropriate density measurement for the specific liquid.
When this helps
Use the converter to translate common mass, volume and temperature units while reading a recipe or recording a brew. It is a unit-conversion aid, not a density calculator, an equipment calibration tool or a claim that a volume of one ingredient weighs the same as another.
Frequently asked questions
No. That needs the density of the particular substance and temperature. This page deliberately keeps mass and volume conversions separate.
Check the unit label shown in the tool and keep the recipe’s regional convention clear. A fluid ounce is a volume unit, not a mass unit.
It should only change the notation when the category and input are correct. Use a scale for measured coffee and water when repeatability matters.
It can convert a temperature reading, but it cannot choose a temperature for a coffee or verify your kettle’s accuracy.
