Blind Cupping Randomizer
Paste your sample names, randomize their order, then serve them under neutral labels. Keep the generated key from tasters until the session ends.

What it does
This uses a browser-side shuffle to generate a label-to-sample key. It supports informal blinding, but it does not replace a formal sensory protocol, sample preparation standard or statistical design.
Good practice
Use neutral labels and preserve the key separately. Randomizing order does not remove every possible bias, so report the session context when sharing a result.
How to use it
- Enter one private sample name on each line.
- Select Randomize labels to create a fresh label-to-sample key.
- Prepare and serve samples under the neutral labels only.
- Keep the key away from tasters until notes are complete, then reveal it when the group is ready.
When this helps
This is useful for an informal comparison of beans, recipes or grinders when you want tasters to focus on what is in the cup rather than the sample name. It does not control water, serving temperature, participant expectations or other sources of bias by itself.
