Planning
Coffee Inventory Planner
Estimate how many dry doses and planned days remain from the coffee you have, using your own dose and cups-per-day inputs.
Your usage
What it calculates
Available doses equal coffee mass divided by dose. Planned days equal available doses divided by cups per day. You can use decimal cups per day for a weekly average.
Limit
This does not predict delivery, quality, storage condition or freshness. It is only a transparent consumption calculation.
How to use it
- Enter the coffee you have available by weight.
- Enter the dry dose you normally use and the number of brews you expect to make per day.
- Read the estimated number of brews and calendar days represented by those inputs.
- Use your own delivery time, storage conditions and roast-date information separately when deciding when to buy.
When this helps
Use the planner to make a basic, visible consumption estimate for a household or a trip. It divides the coffee weight by your dose, then relates that number to the daily brew count. It does not know when an order will arrive or how a coffee will taste at a given age.
Frequently asked questions
Run a separate estimate for each recipe, or use a dose that reflects your planned average. The page does not infer a dose from the method name.
No. The calculation assumes the entered inventory is available for brewing. Reduce the available weight if you want to reserve an allowance for loss.
It can show a consumption estimate only. Compare it with your own delivery time and purchase preference before placing an order.
No. Freshness depends on the coffee, packaging and storage. Use the Bean Age Tracker to record a roast date rather than treating a planner result as a freshness claim.
